Lincoln Rhoda

Block O On Wednesday evening last, Lincoln Rhoda, who had gone to Auburn to recuperate his health, died quite suddenly of hemorrhage of the lungs. He was a young man of unusually high promise, a native of Fruit Vale, whose public school he attended until he entered the Oakland high school from which he graduated about two years ago. He was taken sick about six months ago with a violent cold which gradually settled into consumption. His sister had gone into the interior with him about two weeks ago, and cheering letters came almost daily from her speaking of his gathering strength, but the destroyer suddenly stepped in and took him away. He was 20 years of age and was beloved by all who knew him.
