Passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Barkoff for 62 years; loving mother of Robert Barkoff and Robi Barkoff; Steve (Marcia) Barkoff; adoring grandmother of Billy (Jenifer) Swift, Joseph Barkoff, Daniel Barkoff, Sarah (Jordan) Blake, Josh (Robin) Boxer, Michael Barkoff, David Barkoff; great grandmother of Samantha Swift, Sydney Boxer and Harrison Blake. Rose is survived by her devoted twin sister Selma Hozz and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Rose was born in Spokane Washington to Ben Davidson and Leah Soss. She graduated from Oakland High School and met Ralph at a Temple dance in SF. They married Oct. 22, 1939.

Rose worked for the phone company during WW11. She and Ralph spent 1 1/2 yrs in Canada during WW11. Ralph worked as Treasurer of Standard Oil of Alaska and Rose worked for the Phone Company in long distance.

Rose and Ralph were founders of Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame in 1955.

Rose volunteered at the Jewish Home in SF for more than 42 years.

Rose is preceded in death by her sister Anne (David) Weisman and her brother Philip Davidson.

Rose had a passion for dancing and being with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thurs Sept. 27th at 11 am at Peninsula Temple Sholom.

Donations preferred to PTS, MS Society or the Jewish Home of San Francisco.
